What is a "print plate"?
Last Updated: 02/25/2015
A print plate is an industry term for a rubber stamp. When a slogan, logo, or handling instructions need to be printed on paper tubes or edge protectors, a print plate is required. In order to have a print plate made, artwork (PDF) needs to be provided. Depending on the size of the tube or edge protectors, we will let you know what size (length x width) the art needs to be. Depending on volume, print plates usually last for years before they are worn down and unusable.
